Day 1: Santiago de Chile

Arrival in Santiago and private transfer to your hotel.


An English-speaking guide will accompany you during the transfer.
Visit of Chile's capital, nestled at the foot of the Andes. Although Santiago has become over the years a modern and bustling city, some older neighbourhoods have preserved their atmosphere and a romantic charm.
You will visit the Plaza de Armas, San Francisco Church, the Bellavista area, Cerro San Cristobal, etc.

Day 2: Santiago de Chile - Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales

Private transfer from your hotel to Santiago airport.

Private transfer from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales, city close to the canal Señoret and Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most spectacular in South America.

Day 3: Puerto Natales - Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers - Hosteria Rio Serrano - Hosteria Lago Grey


Departure from your hotel at 07h00. Transfer to the travel agency 21 de Mayo.

Departure for the excursion and boarding around 7:30am. Direction Mount Balmaceda (2,035 m), in the O'Higgins Park, almost unexplored except by people who arrive by boat. The journey begins at the dock of Puerto Natales. You can see from the boat the forests of Coihues, Canelos and Lengas. You sail along the coast, the boat gets close to sea lions and leaves you north of the glacier Balmaceda and Serrano glacier. You access this wonderful site on foot and enjoy the scenery. You reach the Hosteria Monte Balmaceda by boat where a lunch will be served.
You will then go up the Rio Serrano in a zodiac to the Torres del Paine National Park, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. From there, you will be able to see the Paine Massif looming in the distance, its majestic "cuernos" and its hanging glacier above the surrounding lakes. You disembark at the hotel Cabañas del Paine, close to the hotel Serrano.

Day 4: Hosteria Lago Grey - Lake Grey - Hosteria Lago Grey


At 12:00 you board a comfortable boat (capacity 50 passengers) to cross the Lake Grey and see the very impressive Grey Glacier. It is part of the southern ice field, third biggest ice sheet in the world after Antarctica and Greenland.

Walk (without guide) to the Margarita and Marco Antonio lagoons. This walk will give you a good overview of the decline of these thousand-year-old glaciers in the Grey Valley. The Margarita Lagoon is also a good spot for bird watching.

Day 5: Hosteria Lago Grey - Torres del Paine National Park - Puerto Natales

Tour of the Torres del Paine Park, one of the most beautiful of South America.
Discover the most beautiful lakes in Patagonia (Pehoe, Nordenskjöld, Sarmiento), with different lagoons where you can see guanacos and other animals.

Day 6: Puerto Natales - El Calafate


Transfer from your hotel to the bus terminal in Puerto Natales.

Day 17: Puerto Varas - Punihuil Natural Monument - Castro

Departure at 9 a.m. with your guide.


You hit the road to reach Puerto Montt, capital of the Lake District, and then take the Panamericana 5 to the port of Pargua. From there, a 30 minutes ferry ride takes you to Chiloe island in the village of Chacao. You visit the Puñihuil Penguins National Reserve and embark on a boat for an amazing encounter with these incredible animals (30 minutes navigation). Then, you head further south to Castro, the capital of Chiloe, and visit its famous wooden UNESCO world heritage cathedral built in 1910.


End of the afternoon, check-in at the hotel.

Day 18: Castro - Chiloé National Park - Cucao

Departure at 9 a.m. with your guide.


In the morning, you visit some of the famous wooden churches of Chiloé classified World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. You reach Cucao for lunch to enjoy a traditional meal. Your pursue the day with a 2/3 hours walk on the beautiful pathes of the Chiloe national park.

Day 19: Cucao - Castro - Puerto Varas

Departure from Cucao at 9 a.m. with your guide.

Castro is famous for its houses on stilts, handy indeed for those by the water, but even for those further away because it rains a lot there. You visit some of the famous wooden churches of Chiloé classified World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. You take a ferry to reach the second most important island of the archipelago : Quinchao. A pleasant walk take you through charming fishing villages ; fishing and agriculture being the main resources of the island.

At lunch time, we come back to the Greater island of Chiloe to go to the Dalcahue big market and enjoy the typical local meal, the curanto.

By late afternoon, return to the Puerto Varas by the same ferry that brought you here.

Day 20: Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt - Santiago de Chile


Two hours before your flight, transfer from Puerto Varas to El Tepual airport (Puerto Montt).

Day 7: Perito Moreno Glacier - Navigation - El Calafate

After breakfast, at 9 a.m., a pool service will pick you up from the hotel and head for the Perito Moreno Glacier some 80 km from El Calafate. This full-day excursion allows you to thoroughly enjoy the exceptional natural surroundings. You also delight in the panoramic view, afforded by countless foot-bridges, onto the glacier and its surrounding lenga forest.


Return trip to El Calafate at 4:30 p.m.



Nautical Safari tour included (1h):


From the port located at Refugio Argentino, you embark on an hour navigation to enjoy the South face of the Glacier that can surpass 70 meters.

Day 8: El Calafate

Transfer by bus from El Calafate to El Chalten. 3 hour journey.

Day 10: Trekking - Laguna Torre

Trek self guided up to Laguna Torre.


You are walking by yourself (maps available at the entrance of the Park and trails are well marked).


Beautiful walk to reach the nearest viewpoint to the range of the legendary Cerro Torre. It takes about three hours on a trail without great difficulty, passing through the viewpoint of Torre, from where you have a very good view of all the mountains and the typical glacial valley of Cerro Torre. Before reaching the lake we pass the De Agostini camp and after ten minutes walking through the last glacial moraines, we will access one of the most famous sights of the park: all the sensational group of Cerro Torre, Cerro Solo, the snowy range of the Adelas, Torre glacier and the lake of the same name. It is optional to continue to the Maestri viewpoint.

Day 11: Trekking - Laguna de los Tres

Trek self - guided up to the Laguna de los Tres. You walk by yourself (maps available at the entrance of the Park and trails are well marked).


The walk starts along a beautiful trail in the forest, on the West slope of the Polo mount, to get to a slight ascent to the camp Poincenot. The amazing views are with us the whole tour: the Blanco River valley, the Piedras Blancas glacier and its lagoon. The climb to the Laguna de los Tres starts at Poincenot and is hard, but the reward is well worth it. Closer to the mountains we cannot be, unless we are "andinistas". Fitz Roy in all its splendor and the spectacular Sucia lagoon will be the site for lunch. We return through the beautiful Capri lagoon.

Day 12: El Chalten - El Calafate - Bariloche Airport - San Carlos De Bariloche - Bariloche centre

Bus transport from El Chalten to El Calafate.

Day 13: San Carlos De Bariloche - Encantado Valley - Meliquina - San Martin de los Andes

Today we are off to a great tour through the Lake District and the Patagonian Steppe.


Our stage tonight will be the charming San Martin de Los Andes. But first we have to leave San Carlos de Bariloche. We skirt Nahuel Huapi Lake and we cross Limay River, entering a new environment, the Patagonian Steppe. Some minutes after we enter the Enchanted Valley characterized by its rock formations. Many shapes can be found here, all rocks eroded by millenniums of wind, rain and ice…


At Confluencia, we take a winding track of 67 km through Cordoba Pass crossing sculpted mountains with extraordinary shapes, inside the immensity of the Patagonian Steppe.


We arrive at Meliquina Lake, where we will have lunch.


In the afternoon we arrive at our final destination: San Martin de Los Andes, next to Lacar Lake. Walk through the village.

Day 14: San Martin de los Andes - Lanin Volcano - Basecamp - Huechulafquen Lake - San Martin de los Andes

Early departure from the hotel to discover the Lanin National Park and the beautiful Huechulafquen Lake, quiet oasis at the foot of the Lanin Volcano where you can enjoy the lake scenery and mountainous area. You will continue to the volcanic ash beaches of Paimun Lake (a Huechulafquen branch). You will embark on a beautiful tour for 1 hour 40min on the lake, where you can enjoy magnificent landscapes.


Return in the late afternoon to San Martin de los Andes.


Note: 200km including 105km of dirt road.

Day 15: San Martin de los Andes - Villa La Angostura - Nahuel Huapi Lake - San Carlos De Bariloche - Bariloche centre

Start this morning to discover the beauty of the region by enjoying the Seven Lakes Circuit and reaching Bariloche at the end of the day. The road passes Coihue Forests (native tree). You skirt lakes such as: Villarino, Falkner, Hermoso, Espejo, Correntoso and its river of the same name. The scenery is gorgeous all the way until arriving at the village of Villa La Angostura on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Of course, along the way, many stops are planned to take pictures.


In Villa La Angostura, you visit downtown with many neat little shops, terraces, restaurants. And then you go to the historical area, where you will find old buildings and some lovely beaches.


Way back to San Carlos de Bariloche through Huemul Peninsula with its white sandy beaches and next crossing the typical landscapes of the Patagonian Steppe.


The road runs once again along Nahuel Huapi Lake, and in the distance, the peaks of Catedral and the town of Bariloche are revealed.

Day 16: Navigation - Puerto Varas

The Andean Crossing, a mythical route through Patagonian lakes, which joins Argentina with Chile. We set forth from Puerto Pañuelo. After navigating for approximately one hour on the Blest Branch of Lake Nahuel Huapi and passing by Island Centinela, resting ground for the remains of the founder of our National Parks, Francisco Pascasio Moreno, we arrive at Puerto Blest. Here we disembark and take a bus to Puerto Alegre, in Frias Lake, along a 2-mile track through exuberant vegetation. We embark for a 20 minute cruise to Puerto Frías. At this point we proceed with the Argentine immigration paperwork after which, we resume our tour on a bus and cross the border at Paso Vicente Pérez Rosales before reaching the Chilean customs office in Peulla. Here, we stop for lunch (not included). This is an ecological village, set in the heart of Vicente Perez Rosales National Park that looks like a magical place, with its millennial forest and number of waterfalls, creeks, lagoons, birds and countless outdoor activities. Our tour continues on board a catamaran called “Lagos Andinos” with which we sail on the tranquil waters of Lake Todos los Santos and admiring Mount Puntiagudo and the imposing Osorno Volcano.
After reaching Petrohué, we visit imposing waterfalls and afterwards take a bus to Puerto Varas, skirting Llanquihue Lake.
