Day 1: Santiago de Chile
Arrival in Santiago and private transfer to your hotel.

Visit of Chile's capital, nestled at the foot of the Andes. Although Santiago has become over the years a modern and bustling city, some older neighbourhoods have preserved their atmosphere and a romantic charm.

Day 2: Santiago de Chile - Valparaiso & Viña del mar
Departure at 09:00 from your hotel and ride to Valparaiso.
Visit of this town and its old quarters, listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO. With its many hills crowned with picturesque houses and warehouses, its steep narrow streets, its funicular railways and street singers, the city has a particular identity and a very special atmosphere.
Make sure you have lunch in a typical seafood restaurant.
Visit of La Sebastiana, one of Pablo Neruda's houses.

Day 3: Valparaiso & Viña del mar - Santiago de Chile - Calama - Valleys of the Atacama Desert - San Pedro de Atacama
Private transfer from Valparaiso to Santiago airport.
Domestic flight from Santiago to Calama (time to be confirmed).
Arrival at Calama airport and private transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, a small oasis in the middle of the driest desert on Earth.
An English-speaking guide will be with you during the transfer.
In the middle of the afternoon, leave San Pedro and drive to the Salt Cordillera and the Moon Valley. Once there, you can take a walk in a magnificent landscape made of sand dunes and sculpted calcareous mountains. Enjoy the sunset while having a drink before going back to San Pedro.

Day 4: The Atacama lagunas - San Pedro de Atacama
At 09:00, leave San Pedro and head south, towards the Atacama Salt Flat and the Laguna Céjar. Have a swim in the lagoon where you will surprisingly float, thanks to the extreme salt concentration, an unforgettable moment in the desert! Then drive to the Ojos del Salar, another lagoon where you can swim. End of the tour at the Laguna Tebenquiche to enjoy the beautiful colours of the Licancabur Volcano.
Return to San Pedro.
Notes : No bathing more than 45 min and it’s not allowed for kids under 6 years old. The application of sunscreen should be two hours before the bath.
You can spend the afternoon at leisure: take your time to discover and wander around San Pedro de Atacama, or to enjoy the swimming pool of your hotel.
At nightfall, you will join an astronomer at San Pedro observatory, for a tour of the southern sky. After 2 hours of observation with the naked eye and through 10 different telescopes, the guide will complete the explanation around a hot beverage, before you head back to San Pedro.
Note: The excursion is open to other tourists. The excursion will be canceled if the moon is full, and is subject to weather conditions. Do not forget your jackets and coats (the temperature can go down to - 15ºC in the winter).

Day 5: Lagunes altiplaniques - Piedras Rojas - San Pedro de Atacama
Departure from your hotel around 10:00 in the morning. Day fully dedicated to the discovery of the Atacama Salt Flat and its surroundings. The village of Socaire, the Quebrada de Jérez, the Chaxa, Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons and their volcanoes are the must-see of this visit, as well as the Piedras Rojas area and the Tuyacto laguna.
Lunch at a restaurant in Socaire.
Return to San Pedro at the end of the afternoon passing by the village of Toconao. Visit of its church, its central place, and its craft market.

Day 6: El Tatio Geysers - San Pedro de Atacama - Calama - Santiago de Chile
Departure between 4.30 and 6.00 (time depends on the vehicle and the season) from the hotel towards the Tatio. You will arrive at the perfect time to admire the sunrise and the geysers roaring in the cold air of the Altiplano. The valley looks like a giant pot. Water spurts here and there. This geological curiosity mixes a ground still frozen with boiling hot clear water springs (70°C/160°F). Observation of numerous volcanic formations. After a few hours, return to San Pedro via the Machuca Valley.

Day 7: Santiago de Chile - Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas

Arrival at Puerto Montt and transfer with an English-speaking guide in a private vehicle to Puerto Varas next to Llanquihue Lake.
After dropping your luggage at the hotel and having lunch, the guide will take you on a tour of this charming little village, whose influences are a mix of German and Mapuche. If there's time, drive to the famous Petrohue Waterfalls, where you'll have a great view on the Osorno volcano. At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel.

Day 8: Puerto Varas - Castro
Departure at 9 a.m. with your guide.
You hit the road to reach Puerto Montt, capital of the Lake District, and then take the Panamericana 5 to the port of Pargua. From there, a 30 minutes ferry ride takes you to Chiloe island in the village of Chacao. You visit the Puñihuil Penguins National Reserve and embark on a boat for an amazing encounter with these incredible animals (30 minutes navigation). Then, you head further south to Castro, the capital of Chiloe, and visit its famous wooden UNESCO world heritage cathedral built in 1910.
End of the afternoon, check-in at the hotel.

Day 9: Castro - Puerto Varas
Departure at 9 a.m. with your guide.
Castro is famous for its houses on stilts, handy indeed for those by the water, but even for those further away because it rains a lot there. You visit some of the famous wooden churches of Chiloé classified World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. You take a ferry to reach the second most important island of the archipelago : Quinchao. A pleasant walk take you through charming fishing villages ; fishing and agriculture being the main resources of the island.
At lunch time, we come back to the Greater island of Chiloe to go to the Dalcahue big market and enjoy the typical local meal, the curanto.
By late afternoon, return to the Puerto Varas by the same ferry that brought you here.

Day 10: Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt - Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales

Day 11: Puerto Natales - Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers - Puerto Natales
Departure from your hotel at 07h00. Transfer to the travel agency 21 de Mayo.
Departure for the excursion and boarding around 7:30 in direction of Mount Balmaceda (2,035 m), in the O'Higgins Park, almost unexplored except by people that arrive by boat. The journey begins at the dock of Puerto Natales. You can see from the boat the forests of Coihues, Canelos and Lenga. As you sail along the coast, the boat gets close to sea lions and leaves you north of the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers. You will access this wonderful site on foot and enjoy the view. You will reach the Hosteria Perales by boat where a typical Patagonian barbecue will be served.
Return in the afternoon to Puerto Natales.

Day 12: Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine National Park - Puerto Natales
Departure from the hotel at 7:45 to Torres del Paine National Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. You will enter the park by the lagoon area to enjoy a panoramic view of the famous Paine towers, three impressive blocks of granite.
You'll discover along the way the Nordenskjold and Pehoe lakes, the cascade "del salto grande" (walking tour of the site is approximately 45 minutes), the panorama of the Paine Massif and its glacier, and the "Cuernos" del Paine. This park will amaze you with its massive turquoise lakes.
