Patagonia
Patagonia, which literally means "land of big feet", is this vast territory in the south of the American continent which has been for a long time at the centre of an argument between Argentina and Chile. Today, there are still some areas where the borders are not really defined. Because of the unique characteristics of its ecosystem, Patagonia is of great ecological, scientific and tourist interests. Glaciers, mountains, rivers, lakes, fjords, islands, as well as forests, steppes and wetlands, make this region one of the largest reserves of fresh water on the planet. What to see: Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, and Torres del Paine National Park. If treks are amazing in this part of the world, cruises are impossible to miss as well: you can sail to Cape Horn or even to Antarctica! Video clip about Patagonia
