Santiago de Chile
Located in a valley between the Andes and the Cordillera de la Costa, Santiago de Chile with its 7 million inhabitants is one of the biggest capital cities in South America. Founded on February 12, 1541 by the Spanish governor Pedro de Valdivia, the city has known many transformations. Santiago is very easy to discover and love, and does not match with the chaotic image that we usually have of large cities in Latin America. You will be impressed with the historical centre and the Bellavista district, the view from Cerro San Cristobal, and by the close vineyards and Cajón del Maipo. From Santiago, it is easy to reach Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, the amazing vineyards of Santa Cruz or Casablanca, known worldwide, or even to cross the border to go to Mendoza (Argentina).
